During this session, the host will lead an evidence-based discussion on what kind of barriers women face when trying to rise up the hierarchy in organizations and what one can do about those barriers. The host, Josephine Andresen, conducts research on how women are perceived when in a position of power, compared to men. She will lead a discussion with expert panelists who will share insights and experiences from their own research, as well as answer questions from the host and attendees. The panelists are as follows: Janine Bosak, of Dublin City University Business School; Madeline Heilman, of New York University; and Michelle Ryan, of Australian National University.
