We are pleased to announce the results of the recent 2021 SPSP Bylaws vote. For reference, the three revisions are as follows:

  1. The Nominations & Elections Committee, Student Committee and Board of Directors would like to recommend that the SPSP bylaw, Article II Membership section defining the graduate student member type, be amended to allow the privilege of voting and to hold office.

  2. Adjusted number of board positions from a set 12 to a range of 10-15 to allow flexibility moving forward if needed for less or more members based on Society strategic priorities.

  3. Legal adjustment and editing for alignment: Amendments to Bylaw Articles for Clarification (More details here).

All three of the proposed bylaw revisions have been approved by our membership and passed.

Thank you to everyone who cast a ballot in this important vote. Your input is essential as SPSP seeks new ways to support members and the field of personality and social psychology.
