Welcome to the new Senior Editorial Team!

On behalf of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, we are excited to announce the incoming senior editorial team for our society’s flagship empirical journal—the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. Michael D. Robinson, the incoming Editor, will be joined by Co-Editors Yuen J. Huo, Emily A. Impett, and Benjamin M. Wilkowski. They will begin processing manuscripts January 1, 2021, with their term ending December 31, 2024. Until then, the current team, led by Editor Chris Crandall, will continue doing their outstanding work.

Feature ImageMichael D. Robinson (Ph.D. 1996, University of California, Davis) is a Professor of Psychology at North Dakota State University. Michael’s research focuses on social cognitive and cognitive-emotional processes within diverse realms including personality, self-regulation, well-being, and aggression. Michael has previously served as a co-editor for the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin and an associate editor for Social and Personality Psychology Compass, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Personality, Emotion, and Cognition and Emotion.

Yuen Huo headshotYuen J. Huo (Ph.D. 1997, University of California, Berkeley) is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Yuen’s research focuses on group processes and intergroup relations with an emphasis on how social identity processes affect relationships among people in diverse groups, organizations, and communities. Yuen has previously served as co-editor, associate editor, and consulting editor for the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. She has also served on the editorial board of Social Issues and Policy Review.

Emily A. Impett headshotEmily A. Impett (Ph.D. 2004, University of California, Los Angeles) is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She conducts research on topics at the intersection of sexuality, close relationships, motivation, and emotions and is particularly interested in understanding how giving to or making sacrifices for others can enhance versus detract from the quality of interpersonal bonds. Emily has previously served as an associate editor for the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.

Benjamin M. Wilkowski headshotBenjamin M. Wilkowski (Ph.D. 2008, North Dakota State University) is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Wyoming. Ben’s research focuses on how people’s goals and emotions guide their social interactions by binding them into relationships and groups. He is currently developing taxonomy of goal-contents using lexical methodology. Ben has previously served as an associate editor for the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin and an action editor for the Social Psychological and Personality Compass, Emotion and Motivation division.
