Small Tweaks to Behavior Can Be the Difference Between Life and Death

Feature ImageSPSP member Dr. David Neal was featured in a recent issue of “Why Social Science?”, a project of the Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA). With the project, COSSA aims to share the benefits and contributions of federally-funded social and behavioral science research with the public and encourage its widespread use for tackling challenges of national importance.

The interview focuses on how David is using behavioral science to help people in Guatemala and Honduras change their actions to help improve their health outcomes in relation to the Zika virus. He is contributing ideas from social psychology to identify ways to initiate and maintain habit changes in household behaviors that can assist in the prevention of mosquito-bourne diseases.

You can read the complete interview on the COSSA website.
