Graduate students and Early Career researchersHow does Social/Personality Psychology make the world better

The SPSP Government Relations Committee (GRC) is seeking short summaries/vignettes (100 words or less) of social psychological research that helps address society’s most pressing issues. Examples abound, and include (but are not limited to) research on COVID-19social justiceviolent extremism, etc

We are particularly interested in receiving submissions from graduate students and early career researchers. Authors of the two best submissions, as selected by members of the SPSP GRC, will be invited to represent SPSP at COSSA’s annual Social Science Advocacy Day (https://www.cossa.org/event/2021-advocacy-day). Held remotely April 27, Social Science Advocacy Day brings together social scientists and other science advocates from across the country to engage with policymakers on the importance of federal support for social and behavioral science. SPSP will cover the registration costs of representative attendees.
