The color of a hockey player's uniform
may affect how much time the player spends in the penalty box,
according to a new study published in Social
Psychological and Personality Science, co-published by SPSP.
The study, led by social psychologist Gregory Webster of the
University of Florida, linked dark-colored NHL jerseys to greater
aggression and light-colored jerseys to less aggression. The authors analyzed data from more than 50,000 NHL games over the last 25 seasons, tracking changes in uniform color and penalty points. Read more
