G'day! A SPSP Summer Abroad

SPSP member DJ Lick continues his journey researching abroad in Western Australia. In Part Two of his blog series, he describes "Having documented the potential of visual adaptation as a prejudice reduction mechanism, I’m now endeavoring to understand exactly how and why it works. I’m spending my time at the University of Western Australia examining the proximal cognitive mechanisms by which visual adaptation enhances social evaluations." Men May Feel More Threatened by Female Bosses, Research Finds

Although women are underrepresented in senior management positions in the US, they are almost on par with men at middle and lower management levels. In three experiments, researchers discovered men feel more threatened when they answer to female bosses. Read more.
