A member reached out on the Open Forum asking for textbook recommendations to provide as a foundation for students in a first-year graduate social psychology course (many of whom are from other departments) before they read empirical articles for each topic. SPSP members offered a variety of helpful suggestions:

  • Advanced Social Psychology (Roy F. Baumeister and Eli J. Finkel)
  • The Social Psychology of Good and Evil, Second Edition (Arthur G. Miller)
  • The SAGE Handbook of Social Psychology, Concise Student Edition (Michael A. Hogg and Joel Cooper)
  • Social Beings (Susan T. Fiske)
  • Social Psychology, Tenth Edition (Saul Kassin, Steven Fein, and Hazel Rose Markus)
  • Theories in Social Psychology (Derek Chadee)
  • Social Psychology, Thirteenth Edition (Nyla R. Branscombe and Robert A. Baron)
