  Alec Beall lives in Vancouver, B.C., and is currently a second year graduate student in the joint MA/PhD program at the University of British Columbia.

He is fully supported by his primary mentors, the esteemed Drs Mark Schaller and Jessica Tracy.


Alec’s main interest is human sexual attraction and mate preferences. He tackles this topic from an evolutionary and socio-cultural perspective.

What makes people sexually attracted to others?
Why do we find these certain things sexually attractive?
What are some implications of being sexually attractive and unattractive?
What environmental factors influence our emphasis on sexual attractiveness?
