The Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences, Brown University, has an opening for a post-doctoral position in the broad area of Social Cognitive Science. The position is funded by an ONR grant on "The Role of Affective Phenomena in Moral Judgment” (Bertram Malle, PI).

Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in psychology or cognitive science and demonstrated expertise in the empirical study of affect and emotion, especially in interaction with cognitive processes. Preference will be given to candidates who also have expertise in moral psychology, multiple methods, and multivariate statistics. The successful candidate will conduct and supervise research on the interaction between affect and moral judgment, especially at the level of fine-grained psychological processes. Opportunities will also be available for independent research and for engagement with other members of the department. Position is for one year with possibility of renewal.
