The Clark Relationships Lab at Yale University is currently
accepting applications for volunteer research assistants this summer. The ideal
candidate is a motivated undergraduate or recent graduate with a keen interest
in social psychology. Research experience is an asset but not a necessity.
Research topics relate to shared experience, emotional
expression, focus of attention in relationships, and interpersonal
interaction. Interns are expected to work approximately 35 hours/week; this
includes study preparation, data collection (in the lab and in the field),
analysis, and lab meetings. We will hold meetings on professional issues in social psychology,
help you learn to present work to a laboratory group and to prepare IRB
applications, discuss issues about research design and data analysis with you,
and schedule informal social get-togethers. We are committed to making the
summer internship an excellent educational experience.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until positions are filled. To
apply, please send a CV, unofficial grade report, your availability between
June and August, and a short paragraph describing why you’re interested in
working in the Clark Lab to ClarkLabSummer@gmail.com.
