Greetings everyone!
My name is Amy Dent, and I'm a graduate student at Duke
University working with Rick Hoyle on a meta-analysis exploring the relation
between self-regulation and academic achievement across elementary and
secondary school. While we've attempted to ensure all published studies on this
research question have been collected, we also hope to include all relevant
unpublished empirical work in our meta-analysis. To that end, we would greatly
appreciate if you'd be willing to share any unpublished studies on this topic
or could recommend other sources of unpublished empirical work. In particular,
we are exploring the relation between any academic performance outcome and
constructs that have some degree of overlap with self-regulation in they way
they have been labeled, conceptualized, or measured (e.g, self-control,
effortful control, executive functions, delay of gratification).
I would be very grateful if you could send or refer me to an
electronic copy of relevant research reports. A citation of empirical work that
I could track down would also be great, as any information is helpful in our
search for studies! Of course, we would be happy to share a copy of our results
after completion of the search and analysis upon request.
Many thanks for your time and help!
Sincerely,
Amy Dent
