The Department of Psychology at the University of Dayton invites
applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship in the area of social and
personality psychology with an emphasis on adult development.
The candidate
must be ABD at time of application and have earned PhD in social or personality
psychology (or developmental psychology if focused on adult development), by
time of appointment.
Required qualifications include a strong statistics
background (including experience with nested longitudinal data, STATA, HLM, or growth
curve modeling) and a demonstrated record of programmatic research in the social
and personality psychology of self-identity, romantic relationships, or
personality development. The primary responsibility of the position is to
collaborate with faculty to design, launch, manage, and seek additional funding
for a longitudinal study of personal and social development. In addition, the
postdoctoral fellow will be expected to teach one course per semester (except
at the start) and to continue his/her own research program. The fellow will
receive a nine-month appointment with a competitive salary, office space, full
university benefits, assistance with moving expenses, and support for research
and travel expenses. The appointment begins August 16, 2013, and is renewable
yearly (pending evaluation) for up to three years, with preference for a
two-year commitment.
