Subject: Call for Unpublished Research: Self-Determination Interventions on Exercise

Dear Researchers,

I am a graduate student in the Psychology Department at Syracuse University.  For my qualifying examination, I am conducting a meta-analysis to examine the effectiveness of self-determination interventions on physical activity and exercise behavior.  This is a call for all original unpublished research.  To be included, the study must have the following characteristics:

1.) The study used an intervention based on self-determination theory OR an intervention based on self- determination AND other theories (e.g. self-determination and motivational interviewing).

2.) At least one physical activity or exercise outcome was evaluated.

3.) All participants were healthy (i.e., did not have any pre-existing health conditions, or physical or mental disabilities).

Please send any relevant articles to lsmill04@syr.edu.  Thank you for your time and your consideration.

                                    Sincerely,

                                                Lauren S. Miller
