The Center for Human Science, an independent think tank in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is developing a new series of interactive online supplements for hybrid college courses in the behavioral and social sciences. To be known as letsKNOW and marketed like textbooks to instructors in the U.S. and overseas, the courses will feature replications and extensions of current research as well as a new paradigm for studying the social construction of attitudes, values, and beliefs.
The Center is looking for 2-4 creative and resourceful researchers, writers, and/or qualitative data analysts to work together with Bibb Latané and other Center Fellows to develop instructional materials, including research and discussion components.
As well as an advanced degree in a human science discipline, relevant experience, editing, research, Internet, or marketing skills, are desirable. Two-career couples are encouraged to apply for these appointments, which can start immediately or in May or August.
Although open to candidates from anthropology, communication studies, economics, history, political science, sociology and other related disciplines, a background in social psychology would be especially welcome.
Senior Fellow Bibb Latané will be at the meetings of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in San Diego and willing to meet with anyone who might be interested in this opportunity. Click on "Research Fellowships" at humanscience.org for more information and to apply.
