The Relationship Research Interest Group of SPSP is pleased to
announce the results of its first annual graduate student paper award.
The winner is Emre Selcuk of Cornell University, whose paper
"Mental representations of attachment figures facilitate recovery
following upsetting autobiographical memory recall," co-authored
with Vivian Zayas, Gul Gunaydin, Cindy Hazan, and Ethan Kross, was
published in JPSP in 2012.
Honorable mention went to Amie Gordon, University of California,
Berkeley, whose paper "To have and to hold: Gratitude promotes
relationship maintenance in intimate bonds," co-authored with
Emily Imprett, Aleksandr Kagan, Christopher Oveis and Dacher
Keltner, also appeared in JPSP in 2012.
Congratulations to both! And thanks to the other members of the selection committee: Sara Algoe, Amy Canevello, and Ben Karney.
