The department is seeking, specifically, a psychologist who (1) conducts
research with humans; and (2) has demonstrated excellence in and
commitment to undergraduate teaching in introductory courses (i.e.,
introductory psychology or introduction to research methods) and
intermediate level courses that complement the department's offerings.
Such intermediate classes might include health psychology, stress and
coping, psychoneuroimmunology, hormones and behavior, behavior genetics,
or other courses related to the biology of behavior and mental health.
Candidates who can teach one or more of these courses will be preferred.
The teaching expectation for the academic year is 3:2. Applicants need
to have a line of research in which undergraduates can participate.
Candidates who can contribute to the college's neuroscience department
will be desirable.
