An Overview of SPSP Inc. Fellows and APA Division 8 Fellows
SPSP members may be considered for Fellows status. There are different ways to achieve Fellows status in SPSP Inc and for Division 8 of APA. SPSP Inc. is an organization independent of APA, and additional steps are required to become APA Division 8 Fellows.
1. The SPSP Fellows Committee may seek nominations including self-nominations from the membership. After a review of materials, the SPSP Fellows Committee recommends candidates for Fellow status to the Executive Committee. Upon approval by the Executive Committee, candidates become Fellows of SPSP Inc.
2. Approved candidates who are members in good standing in Division 8 of APA (i.e., current members of APA who also pay the extra $2 beyond APA dues to be members of Division 8) may also request that the SPSP Fellows Committee to nominate them to APA as Fellows of APA Division 8.
- Candidates who are approved as APA Division 8 Fellows will be designated as such in SPSP records and are assumed to also hold Fellow Status in SPSP, Inc.
- To become a Fellow in APA Division 8, the process requires letters of support and other materials, and the review is conducted by an independent body of APA. This is not a pro forma review.
SPSP Inc.Fellows, who are not APA Division 8 Fellows, are designated as SPSP Fellows in SPSP records.
- Fellows who are not APA Division 8 Fellows are designated as SPSP Fellows in SPSP records.
